Well it doesn’t stop here. Of course we need to know shapes in computer graphics form. So we are going to learn today how to make shapes using illustrator just by joining the lines creating a form. This would be an easy task for those who have mastered lines in illustrator but even those we haven’t mastered yet just keep on trying, We are all beginner’s here including me myself.
- Henri Matisse was a revolutionary and influential artist of the early 20th century, best known for the expressive color and form of his Fauvist style.
- Known for painting, printmaking, sculpture, drawing and collage
- His arts consist of cutting random shapes and collage-ing them into one art, in example

The reason why I talked about Henry Matisse is because today in class we did exactly what Henry Matisse did which is cutting shapes and making a collage based on our imagination. The point is to train the power of visualization in design. No sketch is allowed, only purely based on mind.
This was our class’s artwork
After that, we used all of these shapes to learn pathfinder and shape builder in illustrator. We took a photo of the cut outs, insert them into the computer and trace them in illustrator. Down below will be a link on how I learn to use the shape builder and pathfinder for begineers.
Your end result should look like this
Well then that is it for today’s post. Pretty simple huh? Well I hope you find this post helpful and I hope you guys had a good time reading today’s blog.Thank you and see you again next time!!! BYEEE!!
